Thank you for setting this up, Futaba. Though, I still do not see why you would rather I take care of it.

In any case, we need to talk about Yuri. This has been put off long enough.

...He might make a good addition to the team with his unique skills. Basically, he's capable. Not sure on his interest in our actual work though.

He is more than capable. He has improved dramatically already.

He knows all about our work, and is always striving to better himself. He doesn't want to see anyone taken advantage of, like us. That drive is as strong as ours, if not moreso. It would be an asset.

He's already shown interest in coming to the coffee shop that night, and he's more than capable physically from what I've seen.

There is also the small factor that he's already seen us in disguise and knows our codenames. It'd be good to at least try to recruit him.

[ Considering how unimpressed he had been at Yusuke's loose lips before, he had somehow thought that Akira would be harder to convince. ]

Physically, he is in better shape than any of us, by far. But as of now, he has no combat experience. We have been working on honing his skills since shortly before the two of you arrived. His ice wielding is more versatile than my own. Perhaps not as forcefully powerful, but there are more uses for it than just attacking.

Yuri was wronged by Adachi as much as I was. He had to be there, there was no way to do it without him. I am not bringing this up because I do not trust him to keep our secret otherwise.

I wouldn't have a problem with him joining either.

Maybe we should find a target and give him a trial run? It gives him the chance to turn it down too, if he chooses. He has the qualities that make for a good Thief, but he has to want it. We all had our chance back home...to choose, to prove ourselves.

That would be ideal. Though, all the potential targets I had in mind might be a bit too difficult for our first outing.

Akira, did you have any ideas?

I haven't had much time to look into any leads yet, but I was thinking that we'd start with someone very small first. Someone none of us know. Maurtia Falls seems to be where the 'underbelly' of society is. We just need to find someone whose heart needs stealing, and stage a very small heist.

This will be quite a bit different from Palaces, mind you. We're going to have to break into someone's home or business and actually steal something from them. No shadows,
the only danger will be from real people.

Let's be sure to choose a target carefully.

Maurtia Falls has no shortage of worthy targets.

Of course it is. Yuri knows that, as well. It is not as dangerous for us, but we will have to be more careful about not hurting anyone who stands in our way.

We must choose strategically.

If we're looking to select a target in Maurtia Falls I could head up there for recon. It's easier to get scans and data-pulls when I'm in close proximity or have direct access to servers.

If I get anything, it would provide us a better picture of potential targets.

Sounds like a plan. I could probably do some scoping things out myself too. I need to go to Maurtia Falls for a couple of things anyway, I'll just stay for a little bit to do some field work.

I tried to dissuade him, but I did not know until he had already offered his services on the private network.

He was less than receptive to my arguments.

This is precisely why they're so dangerous. They are able to sell themselves to good and reasonable people with their stances.

If we explain it to him now, we'll just be dragging more people into danger, but his weapons should NOT be circling with such people.

Any ideas on how we proceed?

I tried telling him that, but I could not explain too much without giving my own intentions away. He was startled enough that I figured him out so quickly.

I still hardly know him, if anyone is going to be able to convince him otherwise, it is Akira.

[He already knew about the cannibalism thing, but he'd been told he didn't kill people. Did the clones not count to him? That was... troubling. They can't just be drawing arbitrary lines on what 'counts'.]

He said it isn't a regular occurance, but I do not know him very well. Hence, probably.

I am not convinced he knew it was a clone, at the time.
